El Bruno - Insert Add Links
If you find yourself typing the same links over and over again, Insert Add Links might just be the Windows Live Writer plugin for you.
After manual installation (how to manually install a plugin?) a new insert option appears in the Insert menu dropdown and/or in your sidebar.
The first time you start the plugin the resulting window is almost empty: you have to add your own links. Simply click somewhere in the grid and fill out ID (anything you want really), description (this is the text you can search for later on as well as the text that will from the link) and URL.
Now imagine I want to once again point to the download post about Windows Live Writer. Click on the insert option. Imagine I have a ton of links instead of the four shown here :-)
In the Filter field in the top of the window I enter the text I’m searching for. Remember, the plugin searches in the description field. Bingo, there we have it!
With the link selected I click on the Add button. A moment later the link, made out of the URL I previously entered linking the text I had put in the description field, appears in Windows Live Writer.
If you find this plugin interesting or tempting, also have a look at Text Templates.
