First Solution
The first solution has an upside and a downside.
The upside is that it enables you to use Windows Live Writer’s Keywords field for tagging. The downside is that it involves editing your WordPress’ xmlrpc.php file.

Second Solution
The second solution is quite elegant. You simply tell Ultimate Tag Warrior to keep an eye out for embedded tags, add your own tags to your post and… you’re done.

He also has a good idea on how to use tag4writer with Ultimate Tag Warrior (see tag4writer). The same principle also works great with the Windows Live Writer tagging plugin Multiple Tag.
