Insert Links Smartly
If you use a kind of WYSIWYG editor like Windows Live Writer, inserting a link is a question of; copy URL, click Insert Link, paste your URL and enter the information.
If you use a plain text editor it is a question of; copy URL, type HTML for the link, paste your URL, enter information.
Insert Links Smartly is a “so you want to be lazy?” plugin for Windows Live Writer: it saves you one step in the above process.
When you copy a URL to your clipboard and hit Insert Links Smartly from the Insert menu on the sidebar on the Insert dropdown menu, the link creating dialog that pops up will prepopulate the URL field with the one you have just put on the clipboard.
Insert Links Smartly contains fields for the URL, the link text and the title (the text you sometimes see when you hoover over a link).
Unlike the Insert Link option from Windows Live Writer itself it does not have a rel field nor a checkbox to force the link to open in a new window.
Insert Links Smartly comes without an installer and needs to be manually installed (How to manually install a WLW plugin).
