Syntax Highlighter: code formatting for WLW
Syntax Highlighter for Windows Live Writer is touted by the developer as a “simple” plugin.
Based on Wilco Bauwer’s Syntax Highlighter it of course can be anything but simple.
What sets Syntax Highlighter apart from other code and source formatting plugins is that Syntax Highlighter out of the box supports 24 languages: ASP, XML, C, COBOL, Cold Fusion, C++, CSS, C#, Eiffel, Fortan, Haskell, Java, JavaScript, JScript, Mercury, MSIL, Pascal, Perl, Python, PHP, Ruby, SQL, Visual Basic and Visual Basic Script.
Unlike CodeFormat there is no CSS styling. Styles are written out inline. So a good chunk of code might get a bit bulky but in general inline in this case is as good as external.
<?php echo ‘Excellent plugin!‘; ?>
