WordPress: Keywords & Tags using Windows Live Writer keywords
Windows Live Writer has a beautiful properties screen at the bottom which, among other things, contains a Keywords field. Unfortunately when posting to WordPress this field is completely ignored. Not by Windows Live Writer but by the xmlrpc.php file in WordPress.
Enter Keyword Tags for WordPress with Windows Live Writer/Ecto support.
Keyword Tags is a WordPress plugin. Once installed (How do I install a WordPress plugin?) you’ll have a new options tab.
From there you can set just about anything. Append
keywords to your post, append them to the feed, make them WordPress tags or Technorati ones… What to use as separator, etc. etc.
And now, because Keyword Tags supports the MetaWeblog API, when you enter keywords separated by the separator of your choice into the Windows Live Writer keywords field, they appear on your blog, appended to your post and feed (… if you so choose, of course).
